Current Layouts

Some layouts are permanently installed in the clubrooms, while others are fully transportable for display at exhibitions and community events. Most of our DCC systems are built around NCE PowerPro units paired with the standard NCE “hammerhead” controllers.

Many DCC users prefer to control their trains via the Engine Driver app on their phones or tablets.

JMRI is used in our locomotive programming workshop and on some layouts.

Our current layouts include:

  • ‘Grendale’ G scale layout
  • HO/OO/HOn3.5 DCC permanent layout
  • ‘South Pine’ HO/OO/HOn3.5 scale exhibition layout
  • ‘Unnamed’ HO/OO/HOn3.5 scale accessible DC & DCC permanent layout
  • ‘Buckley Park’ N scale DC & DCC permanent layout
  • ‘Pine Rivers’ N scale DCC exhibition layout
  • N Scale Small Display and U-Drive Layout
